Halloween doesn’t have to be scary.
Boohoo have certainly proved that with their take on the spooky season, releasing matching outfits for you and your dog.
In less than a weeks’ time the nation will be celebrating all things that go bump in the night, and this year’s Halloween may be a little more normal following the lifting of coronavirus restrictions.
Parties are being planned, events will be held and families across the country have already been seen at various pumpkin picking hot spots.
There’s even Halloween themed dog walks being planned too (I’ll be heading to a dachshund one at Sefton Park in Liverpool).
Whether you’re heading to a party this year or simply having a night-in waiting for the trick or treaters, you may want to have some fun and dress up.
Aside from the more traditional outfits – like spooky classics of skeletons and spiders – Boohoo also have other themes to make Halloween a little more varied.

We got a chance to try some of the outfits out and were quite surprised at the striking resemblance to the real thing on some.
I decided to channel Elle Woods from the film Legally Blonde, played by Reece Witherspoon.
As soon as I saw it had a matching Bruiser Woods (the Chihuahua in the film and sidekick to Elle Woods) jumper, I just had to get it, mainly for my dog as every selfie or photograph taken now has my little Evie in.

Evie is my seven-month old Miniature Dachshund and unfortunately for her she is dragged into my reviews!
With the release of ‘Legally Blonde 3’ on the horizon next year I thought the outfit would be a perfect choice for Halloween 2021.
For those who haven’t seen the classic chick flick, Legally Blonde, it’s based on Amanda Brown’s novel of the same name.
It centres on sorority girl, Elle Woods, who after being told by her son-of-a-congressman boyfriend Warner that he was breaking up with her to “marry a Jackie, not a Marilyn,” decides to prove him wrong and earn her own admittance to Harvard Law School in an attempt to win him back.
Elle is quickly out of her comfort zone but thrives despite dealing with misogyny and she goes on to help exonerate a sorority sister accused of murder, realises Warner is a not a very good boyfriend anyway, and graduates at the top of her class.
Watch it on Amazon Prime here.
The Boohoo outfit centres on the scene where Elle Woods arrives at the school and consists of a pink jacket and skirt.
The hot pink crop blazer (£25) comes in sizes 8 – 16 and is made from polyurethane fabric.
The collared neckline does make it a little revealing so you may want to wear it over a vest top or cami-top like I have in the picture below.
The matching skirt (£20) is made from the same material and features a split at the front, exactly like the Elle Woods one.
I was surprised at how comfy the outfit was considering it was a Halloween costume, if it wasn’t so pink I’d actually wear it on other occasions too.
But you have to think pink of course for Elle Woods.
I was more impressed with the Bruiser Woods jumper though (£15).
Evie was snug as a bug in the jumper, despite it being a little too big – it is designed to be oversized though.
I did have to roll up the bottom as it was a bit too long.
Evie was less impressed when having to pose for pictures but definitely appreciated it when she needed to nip outside now the weather is taking a turn for the worse.
The H jumper (standing for Harvard) is also really similar to the costume in the film.
All in all it’s a cute outfit and a fun alternative to something spooky this Halloween.
If you don’t want to rep Elle Woods, they also have matching Skeleton outfits for you and your dog, as well as spooky spiders.
