A pair of Guinea pigs have been dumped in a cage outside a block of flats in Glasgow.
A concerned member of the public found the animals at the high-rise on Birness Drive in the city’s Shawlands on Saturday.
They immediately alerted the SSPCA who placed the Guinea pigs in a rehoming centre.
Now the organisation is asking people to get in touch if they know who the animals belong to.

Scottish SPCA acting chief inspector, Lara Vickery, said: “The caller found two Guinea pigs outside a high-rise in a cage.
“They were unsure who the animals belonged to and weren’t aware of anyone in the neighbourhood who keeps Guinea pigs.
“Luckily the animals were unharmed but this could easily have been a different story.
“The Guinea pigs are now in the care of one of our Animal Rescue and Rehoming Centres where they are receiving the care and attention they need.
“If anyone recognises these animals, please contact our confidential animal helpline on 03000 999 999.”
