A hero dog has managed to save its owner’s life by leading police officers to the site of their horror car crash.
The German Shepherd named Tinsley was spotted on the Interstate 89 highway in Vermont, US, this week by concerned passers-by who quickly called state troopers.
The cops soon found the pooch at 10pm but as they approached Tinsley darted back down the road.
New Hampshire State Police Lt. Daniel Baldassarre told local media: “They [the cops] could tell the dog was trying to show them something because she kept trying to get away from them but didn’t run away totally.
“It was kind of, ‘Follow me. Follow me’.”
Tinsley then led them to a damaged section of the highway where her owner had lost control and crashed his car, a crash which the dog had also been in.
“To see the guardrail damaged and to look down to where the dog is looking at, they were almost in disbelief,” Daniel continued.
Cam Laundry, the owner, and his friend were found lying on the ground having been ejected from the vehicle, severely injured and hypothermic.
Medical assistance was quickly called and the pair survived, thanks to the heroics of the dog who somehow came out of the crash unscathed.
Cam was sure to thank his beloved pet for her quick thinking.
He said: “She’s my little guardian angel you know.

“It’s a miracle that she had that kind of intelligence to do what she did.”
To make matters even more heartwarming, rescuers said that Tinsley did not leave Cam’s side as they worked to stabilise his condition.
“Of course, she never leaves my side, so we’re always together in that truck that got wrecked – she’s always my co-pilot, she’s always with me,” he added.
Cam also said that Tinsley was rewarded for her actions with a juicy venison burger.
