This poor kitten was found dragging herself on the hot concrete while ongoing traffic was passing by. It was a miracle that TikTok user @aricsv97 noticed her and was kind enough to stop and bring her to safety!
It turns out that she was only 2 days old and was in desperate need of nutrition. She had to be bottle-fed every 2 hours. TikTok user @aricsv97 wrapped her up in warm blankets in between feeding her to make sure she was comfortable. As time went on, this miracle kitten started to open her eyes and take in the world for the first time. She even went through a monkey phase where she tried to climb up her foster mom’s legs at every chance. Her fun, playful personality started to shine through as she became healthier and stronger. Her foster mom named her miracle as a tribute to how far she’s come!
If you ever find an orphaned kitten when you’re out and about it’s usually best to leave them with their mother, who is often nearby planning to return and care for her babies. However, if the kitten’s health or safety is in danger, and the mother is nowhere in sight after about 12 hours, time is of the essence.
Newborn kittens require around-the-clock care and most shelters don’t have the time or space to take care of them. Bringing kittens to a shelter could be a death sentence for the newborns, so it’s best to take them home with you if possible. With a little research, rescuing an orphaned kitten is completely doable and incredibly rewarding!
