The Tk’emlúps Rural RCMP are asking people to be on the lookout for Whisper, a rare French Bulldog which was stolen from their Cherry Creek property last night.
Mounties say Whisper’s owners woke up this morning to find their long haired chocolate and tan French Bulldog was missing.
“Someone kicked in our kennel door and stole Whisper overnight,” Jennifer De Lisi wrote on facebook. “We are offering a $5,000 reward for the safe return of our girl. We just need her home.”
“She is recognizable and someone in town has her. Please, please, please give her back. Drop her at any vet or [the] SPCA.”
Whisper had just recently birthed a litter of pups, which De Lisi was advertising for sale online. She believes the person or people responsible were after the puppies and not Whisper.
“She holds significant value to her family members,” RCMP spokesperson Corporal Crystal Evelyn, said, in a statement.
“Please take a minute to look at Whisper’s picture. If you hear a dog barking from a vehicle, or notice a new dog in your neighbourhood and think it may be her, please contact police as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information related to this investigation is asked to call Tk’emlups Rural RCMP at 250-314-1800 or Kamloops RCMP at 250-828-3000.
