Further to Colin Tennant’s article “Why a pack of dogs would turn on their walker” (News, last week), it pains me to say this — I am a dog-owner myself — but all dogs should be muzzled outside the home. They are wonderful creatures most of the time, but when they are not, there are consequences.
Compulsory muzzles would protect both the public and the dog, and help to curb the trend for aggressive “statement dogs”.
