A mountain lion that killed a homeowner’s pet cat was hanging around an RV in Bailey, Colorado, prompting the pet owner to request that wildlife officers to do something about it.
The lion made a day bed under a bush near the driveway of the RV and was there when wildlife officers from the Colorado Parks and Wildlife NE Region arrived on the scene.

One officer approached the lion and said, “Get outta here, get, get!”
When the lion got up, the officer shot a bean bag round that hit it in the side just as it was racing off. The encounter was captured in video and posted on Twitter by the CPW NE Region.

“Wildlife officers reported the lion appeared healthy,” the CPW NE Region wrote on Twitter. “Hopefully it doesn’t return.”
